HowTo: Build a Kinect USB Cable to use it with Mac, Linux, Windows Tube. Duration : 2.10 Mins.

With this video you can build your own Kinect Power Supply Cable, to connect your Kinect to a Computer like Mac, PC and Linux and use it with OpenKinect or OpenNI Drivers. I've made one by myself, because I didn't want to sell an adapter for 40€. Also possible to connect the Kinect to an old XBOx 360 over an USB port and 12V power supply (approved). Hints: - If you connect the Kinect to your XBox 360, then you have to pull the +12V Cable from the Adapter (otherwise this will destroy your Xbox)! - You need a power supply of 1,6 Ampere for the +12V (I've used a power supply with 2A) - The +D und -D wires have to be switched between the USB Adapters, because without this switch the Kinect didn't work! - You've made this Cable at your own risk (it can destroy your Computer and/or your XBox 360)!
